In this selection, I will be posting grammar rules to help make learning Arabic easy, inshaAllah.




Lesson 1 : Noun

In this lesson, I will explain the usage of Nouns in Arabic as well as give examples of ways to easily recognize a Noun in its different formats.

اسم :

1.
Every word that has a Tanween on the end of the letter is a Noun.

كل كلمة تقبل التنوين هي اسم

example: كتابٌ ( a book) ,  قلمٌ ( a pen)

2.
Every word that ends with a Taa' Marboothah is a Noun.

 كل كلمة تنتهي  تا ِء المربوط ِة، هي اسم

example: سيارة  ( car )  , كرة (  ball )


3.
Every word that starts with an Alif-Lam is a Noun.

كل كلمة تبدء بأل التعريف هي اسم

example: القدم (the foot) , الكلب (the dog)
