Arabic Curriculum Books - المناهج الدراسية

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

When beginning to teach a new language one of the most valuable resources that one could have besides a dictionary is an Arabic curriculum book. Below are a few examples of curriculum books that can be used for homeschooling and have worked for us, Alhamdulilah.

Book Title: I love Arabic!

Arabic Grammar and Dictation

Here is an example of a curriculum book for a beginner. A beginner is learning to identify the letters of the Alphabet with the sounding words as in the picture. The format and style is very similar to the way a person would begin to read English with phonics.

An intermediate level student, can read with tashkeel and has begun learning to sound out all parts of a word and can continue to learn new vocabulary with the fatha, dhamma, kasra. The next step is adding in sukoon and shaddah. Once a student has mastered this, they are on their way to reading inshaAllah.

An example of a advance student is where the child has mastered the intermediate level and can read fluently. The way some of the Arabic Curriculum books are designed is to continue to increase and build on vocabulary words while in the process of introducing grammar rules and formation of sentence structure.
